The tour, transportation and services of the guide. We provide your preference of tea, coffee or water as well as chocolate biscuits. For a full day bespoke trip meals are not included however we can include a lunch stop as part of the itinerary at your own cost. Alternatively feel free to bring your own packed lunch.

Whilst most people like to use their own binoculars we have an extra pair available as well as a spotting scope should we find something really interesting and want a closer look!
What should I wear?
The weather in Orkney can best be described as changeable! It is best to come as prepared as possible. We recommend bring an extra layer as well as waterproof clothing, hat and gloves. Walking boots are recommended as the ground may be uneven and slippery in parts.
Where does the Cruise ship wildlife trip leave from?
We provide a pier side pick up and drop off service. This will depend on where your ship berths, please let us know which ship you are arriving on at the time of booking.
Hatston pier - On disembarking from the ship please let the meet & greet staff know you are on a private Orkney Nature tour. Your guide will be called down to pick you up.
Kirkwall pier - On disembarking from the tender boat your guide will meet you at the pier and take you to your vehicle. Meet and greet staff are also there to help.
Where does the wildlife safari leave from?
We will meet on Broad Street, opposite St.Magnus Cathedral in the centre of Kirkwall.
Can I arrange a bespoke tour on a day which shows the cruise ship wildlife tour?
Yes, bespoke tours can be arranged on any day where the calendar shows availability. Simply e-mail us and we will try our best to arrange a great day of wildlife watching!
What are the chances of seeing Orca?
If Orca have been spotted then we are across the relevant sighting groups and so have a good chance of catching up with them at various point across the Orkney mainland and connected south isles. They are of course wild animals however and sightings cannot be guaranteed. We always keep an eye on the coast for cetacean sightings during our trips but we do not specifically look for Orca on tours unless specifically asked in advance.
